We began by visiting the Angra do Heroísmo Museum, as a starting point for exploring the island and its industrial, cultural, and natural heritage.
Next, we’ll head to Casa Agrícola Soares – Organic Milk Producer, a farm that produces organic, pasture-based milk, with cows grazing freely 365 days a year. We’ll get to see the mechanical milking process, but we’ll also have the chance to milk a cow by hand; to drink the milk warm, straight from the cow; to learn about the farm’s history; and to discover the management practices and regulations required by European legislation for organic farming.
